Just spent an amazing day in New York City with some of my best Marist buddies! We had a delicious brunch at the Film Center Cafe where we were able to watch scenes from some of the greatest movies of all time, such as “Gone With The Wind” and “Singing In The Rain”, while we dined. Who knew how great a
breakfast burrito could taste when you are watching a passionate scene between Rhett Butler and Scarlet O’Hara! We also went to a huge flea market down by the Port Authority Bus Terminal. My roommate was able to get a pair of Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses for $8.00. They sure look like the real thing!
Next came the best part of our day, American Idiot!! What an amazing show! I felt like I was at an actual Green Day concert! Still cannot believe that a round trip bus ticket to the city and a ticket to an amazing Broadway show was only $25.00! SPC, the Student Programming Council, does a phenomenal job planning these events. Be sure to check out their website: http://legacy.clubs.marist.edu/spc/ for more information and upcoming events!
