Calling all Marist Students! White House Wants to Hear from YOU!
Hello past, present, and future Red Foxes! As a Class of 2013 alum and former Marist Ambassador, I am happy to be back here on Marist FoxTales to share an awesome opportunity with you – a chance to get your voice heard in Washington.
On Wednesday, December 4th I will be heading to the White House for a Youth Summit to discuss issues affecting young adults. So Marist, tell me what you want to hear!
Are you confused about how the Affordable Care Act affects you? (Don’t worry, you aren’t alone.) College students, do job prospects and student loans keep you up at night? High school seniors, does applying to college and filling out financial aid forms stress you out? I want to make sure Marist students have the chance to voice their concerns, and who better to listen than the policymakers themselves.
Tweet me your questions or comments at @kelsdonohue and follow along throughout the day with @whitehouse & #WHYouthSummit. Don’t miss your questions being asked, tune in to the live Q &A from 2pm – 3:30pm at whitehouse.gov/live!
As always, missing Marist and wishing you all the best of luck on finals!
