This past Friday, November 4th, Asian Alliance hosted a hands-on Japanese Tea Ceremony event where students got the opportunity to witness a traditional Japanese tea ceremony demonstrated by the Mid-Hudson Japanese Community Association, a non-profit organization that provides cultural enrichment workshops for people who have interest in learning about the Japanese culture. At the event, students were able to perform their own ceremonies and brew Matcha green tea according to the old tradition of showing respect through grace and etiquette.
