On April 18th, 2018, the Fashion Show Production class put on their annual fundraiser.
This year the fundraiser was to raise money for the CFDA Foundation. The Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for- profit trade association, founded in 1962, which consists of more than 500 of America’s most talented and dedicated womenswear, menswear, jewelry and accessory designers. CFDA raises money for a variety of causes such as disaster relief, breast cancer, and HIV/AIDS. The class’s fundraiser included a bake sale, lemonade stand, and puppies. Hundreds of students came out to support and bring awareness to the cause. They also enjoyed some baked goods and got the chance to play with puppies! The bake sale was a success and raised a significant amount for the foundation.
On April 19th and 20th Marist student ticket sales are being held in Donnelly, outside the
fashion department for the 4pm show. The shows take place April 19th from 1-5pm and April 20th from 12-5pm. There are 150 tickets being sold for $20 each. Tickets will be sold to students with a valid Marist ID. If you are unable to make it to Donnelly, be sure to purchase your ticket on http://www.ticketmaster.com!
